~Wamotenashi~
"wa" a word used to describe Japanese culture and concepts + "omotenshi" means Japanese hospitality spirit from our hearts. This is exactly my style of dining.
I am Sarasa. I was born in Yokohama. Grown up in Japan all the time. When I was mid-twenties, I moved to London for my work and lived there for 4 years. I travelled a lot in Europe, tried lots of different locals foods. That time I realized that Japanese foods are so different from other European foods. The way of cooking and also, based stocks and herbs etc. I found food and cooking are very interesting and studied about own culture food more since then.
Living in Hakuba since 2011. The life surrounding by nature is full of local lovely fresh vegetables and mountain vegetables. Traditional event always has traditional local foods to come with. Such a wonderful experience and stimulation for my cooking. We have long history in Japan. Food also has the same amount of history. I would love to share this Japanese culture through cooking. My cooking class is not only the class to teach how to cook but also touching Japanese food culture.
I really hope you enjoy your stay in Japan with lots of nice authentic Japanese food.
